#SolarFail: The 'dramatic' solar eclipse over London that wasn't

There was a lot of hype about this morning's solar eclipse in England. The U.K.'s weather turned out to be slightly better than anticipated, with clouds breaking in many places at just the right time. London and the South East, on the other hand, just saw their grey day get slightly gloomier.

It was set to be a "fantastic spectacle of nature," a "breathtaking" and "dramatic" view.

But sadly, for some, it was not.

Friday's eclipse was blocked by clouds in London and other areas. Many took to Twitter to showcase the anti-climatic event with a punch of dry British humour.
