Residents in snow-hit Southern Ontario, Quebec share winter woes online
Ontario and Quebec are getting their first taste of winter, and those experiencing the storm are sharing their woes on social media.
Though the weather system is producing devastating tornadoes and flooding in the U.S. Midwest and southern states, in Ontario and Quebec it's mostly remained just a nuisance.
Toronto got about three centimetres of snow, with the risk of freezing rain diminishing into Tuesday afternoon. The Hamilton and London areas were hit with freezing rain as well, while warnings are still in place for parts of Southern Ontario, including the Bruce Peninsula and the areas around Lake Simcoe.
In Ottawa, snowfall could reach 10 to 20 cm, while in Quebec, areas including Montreal and Gatineau could get anywhere from 15 to 40 centimetres of snow by Tuesday evening.
People are sharing their frustrations on social media.
