He made the comments after meeting Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan on the sidelines of a gathering of world leaders at the United Nations, according to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency.

Ahmadinejad repeated his promise that Iran would not use nuclear technology in the creation of weapons.
