Rising hate a key concern as 2SLGBTQ+ gathers for P.E.I. event

Advocates in the 2SLGBTQ+ community say they're worried about an increase in anti-queer hate across the country — especially against transgender people. They're meeting in Charlottetown this weekend, as organizers expect more than 100 participants. CBC talked to Anastasia Preston, trans community outreach co-ordinator at P.E.E.R.S. Alliance, and Kojo Modeste, executive director of PRIDE Toronto.
