      Melinda Sharpe says it was chaos once she realized the Driftwood Inn in Deer Lake was on fire. Some social media reports indicate an alarm did go off. But Sharpe tells the CBC’s Sanuda Ranawake she didn’t hear one — and neither did the other guests that were awoken by Sharpe banging on their doors.
