Quebec has become the first province to accept requests for medical assistance in dying before a person's condition renders them incapable of giving consent. Dr. Catherine Ferrier, a physician with the Division of Geriatric Medicine at McGill University, says the decision is terrible because it’s impossible to be completely informed about how your life will be when your condition worsens.
