This photo exhibit shares stories of families who came north to escape slavery
Many of the Black residents of southwestern Ontario can trace their family history all the way back to the Underground Railroad. Nearly 200 years ago, their ancestors escaped slavery in the United States by migrating north. A new photo exhibit, called "North is Freedom" at Art Windsor-Essex shares their stories. Darryl Hogan is featured in the photo essay and spoke about the project with Windsor Morning host Amy Dodge.
