U.S. tariffs could cost domestic distillery a quarter million dollars, owner says | Canada Tonight
Threats by two premiers to ban U.S alcohol if Washington imposes its threatened 25 per cent tariffs has domestic buyers and sellers calling for a loosening of interprovincial barriers. Brock Coutts, owner of Patent 5 distillery, says his business has been working to sell more spirits into the U.S., however, those plans would be deeply affected by the proposed U.S. tariffs — Coutts estimates it would cost his business a quarter of a million dollars.
