N.L. orders cleanup of old aquaculture sites on south coast
Aquaculture companies operating on the south coast of Newfoundland have been ordered to clean up old open net pen salmon cages. In recent months, the Atlantic Salmon Federation has identified a number of sites with abandoned aquaculture equipment. Fisheries Minister Gerry Byrne says some of the material may have been there for decades. The CBC’s Todd O’Brien has that story.
