Canada attempts to de-escalate trade war while retaliating against U.S. tariffs
Canada has announced another $30 billion worth of tariffs on U.S. imports to come into effect tomorrow, following today's U.S. tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum. Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc says though it might be 'unrealistic' for all tariffs to be reversed, he hopes that the meeting will bring the two countries to a position where they can 'lower the temperature' on the trade war.
