Oscar, a miniature poodle found injured in a garbage can on April 3, is recovering after surgery. The dog was named after Oscar the Grouch — the Sesame Street puppet who lived in a garbage can. He was placed into the care of the Squamish and Neighbourhood Animal Partnership and Protection Society.
