Nik Sexton’s film is a ‘Newfoundland noir’ about a formerly incarcerated St. John’s man who returns home to find his low-income neighbourhood is populated with Syrian refugees. Sexton, along with producer Mary Sexton, worked with story consultant Eyad Sakkar and spoke to CBC Radio’s The Signal about their passion project.
