Maya Fernando, a University of B.C. student, was attending the Lapu-Lapu Day Filipino street festival on Saturday night. She describes seeing the first fire truck pull up after an SUV crashed into festival-goers, and "feeling her heart sink" as she realized people had lost their lives in the ramming attack.
