Reception House receives new designation from federal government
When newcomers come to Waterloo region, they often find themselves at Reception House. The organization has helped immigrants and refugees find their place in the community. Now, Reception House has been designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as the go-to place for new Canadians to get help as they make Waterloo region home. CEO Babur Mawladin spoke to CBC K-W's Aastha Shetty about the work they do and what this designation will mean for the community.
