Patients, paramedics reunited at 12th annual Survivor Day
Jack Luck was 18 years old when he unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest one February day last year. He lost consciousness, but paramedics were able to restore his pulse. They then rushed him to hospital, saving his life. Luck was one of 26 patients who participated in the Essex-Windsor EMS and Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program 12th Annual Survivor Day. The event honours those who have survived heart attacks and trauma, and the patients get to meet those who gave them a second chance.
