      There are now 16 active fires in Saskatchewan, and more than 8,000 people — many of them from remote First Nations in the province's north — have been forced to leave. Premier Scott Moe on Saturday said the situation on the ground is dire due to poor weather conditions and that more resources will be available to help evacuees.
