Louise May has been ordered by a Manitoba court justice to pay $15,000 to a private developer trying to build an assisted living facility on a parcel of land in south Winnipeg known as Lemay Forest. May was previously found in civil contempt of court for breaching an injunction forbidding protesters from blocking the developer's access to the site.
