An out-of-control wildfire is threatening communities in the district of Squamish, about 45 kilometres north of Vancouver. The Dryden Creek wildfire prompted the district to declare a state of local emergency Tuesday. Although the fire continues to grow, no residents have yet been forced to evacuate, and there have been no reports of property damage.
