Kim Savage, executive director of the Surrey Food Bank, says that many families who rely on school food programs will be left searching for options for their kids as school lets out for the summer. Savage says that food insecurity doesn't take a vacation, and that volunteers would be stepping up efforts to ensure no one goes hungry this summer.
