On Monday, the Louvre Museum in Paris shut its doors as its workers staged a strike over an excessive number of tourists. Joe Pavelka, who studies tourism and destination management at Calgary's Mount Royal University, said that tourist destinations across the world are experiencing a "clustering effect" as travellers ramp up vacations after the COVID-19 pandemic.
