Families of victims gather to mourn the 40th anniversary of Air India bombing
Monday marked 40 years since one of the deadliest attacks in Canadian history. On June 23, 1985, a bomb destroyed Air India Flight 182 as it flew near Ireland. A total of 329 people on board were killed, most of them Canadians. On this sombre anniversary, a crowd gathered at a memorial in Stanley Park to honour the victims.
