NATO chief calls spending increase 'ambitious but essential'
NATO secretary general says member nations have agreed to spend 3.5 per cent of GDP on 'core defence' and another 1.5 per cent on investments that support defence and security, saying allies recognize 'the severity of the threats we face.'
