Maine governor says Canadians avoiding U.S. travel hurts locals, not Trump | Power & Politics
Maine Gov. Janet Mills is visiting New Brunswick and Nova Scotia this week to ask Canadians to resume travelling to her state, saying that between February and April there has been about a 26 per cent decrease in road traffic from Canada. Mills tells Power & Politics that when Canadians stop visiting Maine, ‘they are not hurting Donald Trump’ but instead hurting businesses in Maine that depend on Canadian visitors.
