At least 100 area residents attended an open house at Carberry Collegiate Wednesday night, where traffic engineers had hoped to make the case for a restricted crossing U-turn intersection at the junction of Highway 1 and Highway 5. Instead, they were met with a chorus of opposition from people who want a different solution for the intersection where 17 people were killed in a bus crash in 2023.
