Michael Geist, a law professor at the University of Ottawa and Canada Research Chair in internet and e-commerce law, says Canada needs to be ‘more realistic’ about the consequences of its digital policies for them to be successful. The comments come after Canada rescinded its digital services tax in advance of trade discussions with the United States.
