Report blames ‘adverse conditions’ for last year’s Yukon gold mine slide
An independent report has found last year's Eagle gold mine slide in Yukon — which contaminated local groundwater and a creek with cyanide — was caused by a series of 'adverse conditions.' Following the release of the report, the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun said it was still calling for a full public inquiry into the mine's collapse.
