American-Canadian resident reflects on July 4th, Canada-U.S. relationship
Timothy Flannery is a longtime resident of Kitchener. An American citizen by birth and a Canadian by choice, he reflects on celebrating July 4th this year. A practicing lawyer, Flannery is involved in elections in the U.S. and for Americans in Canada and chairs the Democrats Abroad Grand River chapter. He spoke to CBC K-W’s Asad Chishti about how he’s feeling on the Fourth of July, celebrated south of the border as Independence Day.
