B.C.'s proposals to reform supportive housing 'long overdue,' Atira CEO says
Last week, B.C.'s Housing Ministry said it would form a working group to look at safety in supportive housing — with a proposal to be able to evict tenants causing public safety concerns. Donna-Lynn Rosa, the CEO of supportive housing provider Atira Women's Resource Society, said the majority of people in the housing present no risk to themselves or to the wider community, and there are only a small number of people who pose safety concerns.
