Anxiety builds in P.E.I.'s oyster industry after CFIA confirms presence of mollusc disease dermo
Oyster harvesters on Prince Edward Island have been spending the last year worried about the detection of a disease called MSX, which doesn’t hurt humans but can kill off oyster production in a big way. Now another disease has been confirmed in P.E.I. waters: Samples from Egmont Bay have tested positive for a disease called dermo. The executive director of the P.E.I.
