New B.C. safety report includes 'weak recommendations,' says former Vancouver police chief
A new report on the safety of festivals and other celebrations in B.C. detailed all public events, regardless of size, should be supported by a risk assessment. The report by the Commission of Inquiry into Community Events' Safety was unveiled on Wednesday as part of the response to the Lapu-Lapu day tragedy which claimed the lives of 11 people, and injured many more.
