Canoe Pass Village, a floating home community in Delta, is facing a serious challenge. Residents say low tides and a lack of dredging in the Fraser River’s secondary channels are putting homes and resident safety at risk. As CBC’s Amelia John reports, the floating homes are often sitting in mud, especially at low tide, as silt continues to build up.
