She still has a long way to a full recovery, but she is one step closer to dancing again.

Last month, As it Happens told you the story of Lucila Munaretto. While rollerblading, the 21-year-old ballerina collided with a car. The accident left her in a coma for nearly two weeks. She also suffered multiple broken bones, including her pelvis.

On Friday, Munaretto was released from hospital.

"It feels good to be out," she tells As it Happens host Carol Off.

Soon after her release, Munaretto visited her Vancouver dance studio, Pacific Dance Arts, where she was greeted by friends and teachers.

"Being there gave me a lot of energy. The people there were so happy to see me. It just made me feel like I'm going to do that soon," she says. "I'll be back in dance soon. That's the thing that I know and feel."
