"If he gets put into a courtroom somewhere and justice is served, that makes me happy," Carol Todd tells As it Happens. More than a year after her 16-year-old daughter, Amanda Todd, killed herself, she may now be one step closer to finding justice.

Dutch police are holding a man charged with bullying Amanda Todd online. In October 2012, she took her own life shortly after posting a video describing her harassment.

The man in custody, Aydin Coban, is also charged with similar offences involving other alleged victims in the Netherlands, the UK, the US and Canada. The RCMP immediately announced that they would be pursing their own conviction on Canadian charges.

Carol Todd spoke with us from Vancouver. She has also written about her family's ordeal for CBC News.
