The Balkans are now coping with an unprecedented deluge. Flood waters have killed dozens of people, displaced thousands of others, and dislodged land mines. And Serbia's main power plant is now under threat.
Today Agence France Presse reporter Katarina Subasic visited Obrenovac, outside Belgrade. She tells Carol the city, the hardest hit by the floods, is like a ghost town.

Ms. Subasic explains that some of those displaced by the flood waters have only recently returned to their homes after becoming refugees during the war.

She adds that many mine fields from the war have been disturbed by the floods -- and authorities have no idea where the explosives now lie.
