Why some veterans won't vote Conservative
A veterans group has started a campaign called "Anyone But Conservatives." We speak with the chair of the campaign and Veterans Affairs Minister Erin O'Toole for his reaction.
This week, veterans protested outside the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Fredericton during a campaign stop by Conservative Party Leader Stephen Harper. After years of cuts to support services and changes to compensation for retired and disabled veterans, they say they'd like to see veterans' issues as a cornerstone in the October election. They've started a campaign called "Anyone But Conservatives". We speak with campaign chair, Tom Beaver. And we also speak with Veterans Affairs Minister Erin O'Toole for his reaction to the campaign.
