'The erotic life of youth': Daniel Handler's new book confronts the reality of teenage sex

There have always been scenes in movies and books that get whispered about. You know: the type of salacious moments that inspire advice from friends to fast forward to this spot or flip to that page in order to get to the dirty parts of the story. Well, you could say that author Daniel Handler's new book is an ode to those explicit scenes and pages.

Handler's new book is called All the Dirty Parts. It's about a sex-obsessed teen boy who treats his sexual partners like conquests. That is, until he suffers his first heartbreak and discovers that even casual sex can be emotionally complicated. 

You might know Handler better by his pen name Lemony Snicket, the author and narrator of the A Series of Unfortunate Events novels which have been read by millions of very young readers. So, how will fans react to his more mature book?
