Best of Q: Millenial Simon Rich on his 'self-loathing' generation
Simon Rich reflects on his latest collection of short stories and how he views his generation.
Writer Simon Rich joins guest host Brent Bambury to discuss his latest collection of short stories, Spoiled Brats, and the harsh light in which he casts his own generation.
"I think [Gen Y] is probably the most guilt-ridden and self-loathing generation to ever come around," Rich tells Brent. "The chief villain in the book is a writer named Simon Rich."
The 30-year-old humour writer reflects on stereotypes about his fellow millennials, his own depiction of a narcissistic and tech-obsessed cohort, and why he's trying to appeal to the "anti-Simon Rich" camp.
