Leïla Slimani is a French author who's taking the literary world by storm. Her latest novel, The Perfect Nanny, has already taken France's top literary prize, the Goncourt, and is now being published in North America. The story is about a hip, young wealthy couple who hire a nanny to take care of their two children, only for the nanny to murder them. Slimani tells us about the inspirations for this novel and why she wanted to explore the darker sides of motherhood and domesticity.
