Comedian Mark Forward refuses to uproot his life in Canada and move to Los Angeles or New York City because he believes the only way the Canadian comedy scene will improve is if people start taking initiative and believing in homegrown talent. He remains here in order to lead by example.
Forward has made a name for himself as an actor and stand up comic for almost two decades, appearing on FX's Fargo and Letterkenny and making seven appearances at Just For Laughs. Forward will be at the Just For Laughs festival again this year.
But even though he's made his career here, Mark has a thing or two to say about the entertainment industry in Canada, which will be the subject of a talk he's giving at the Just For Laughs Comedy Pro conference happening at the end of the month.
