From The Blair Witch Project to Soderbergh's Unsane, Joshua Leonard is a go-to guy for experimental cinema
Leonard's latest role is in Steven Soderbergh's iPhone-shot thriller, Unsane. He talks about what it's like to act in experimental films.
When Joshua Leonard landed his first acting gig in a micro-budget movie called The Blair Witch Project, he was launched head-first into a career he wasn't sure he wanted. Twenty years later, he's carved out a niche as a go-to guy in some of cinema's most daring experiments, like Steven Soderbergh's new movie, Unsane — shot entirely on an iPhone. Leonard tells q guest host Laurie Brown about learning on the job and surviving in Hollywood.
Unsane is out in select theatres on Friday, March 23.
