The Handmaid's Tale's Michael Perlmutter on the rise of the music supervisor

If you saw the recent adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale than you heard the work of Michael Perlmutter, even though you may never have heard of him.

Perlmutter, a music supervisor, is happy he's been recognized for this work on The Handmaid's Tale because he says it's part of a larger focus on the craft and art of music supervision that's happening right now — which also includes finally making them eligible for Emmy awards. 

Perlmutter has also worked on Degrassi, the Next Generation, Queer as Folk and Fargo. He talks to q guest host Ali Hassan about a profession that's been gaining more attention and respect.
