Ahead of the return of the hit MTV series Jersey Shore, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jenni "JWoww" Farley share a playlist of their favourite fist pumping songs that remind them of the Jersey Shore circa 2009 to 2012.

Below are their song picks and a little of what they had to say. You can catch them on their new reality show Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which premieres Thursday, April 5 on MTV.

Enrique Iglesias, I Like It ft. Pitbull

Ronnie: At the end of filming we actually got to be in Enrique's video and the video was basically based around us.

JWoww: Yeah it was insane because this was season two and we honestly didn't know how popular we were at the time. Obama was mentioning us in speeches, things were being said from celebrities [about] how they loved us, but I think MTV kept us chill — they didn't want us to know because they didn't want us to change.

Ronnie: [Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull] were fans of us, and we didn't realize it. We went into the video like, 'oh my God!' and they're like, 'oh my God!' And we're like, 'wait, what?'

JWoww: It's still very surreal to see that, and to hear that song, which is an awesome song, and be like, yeah we were a part of that, we were in that music video. ... It's almost like an adult looking back at high school.

LMFAO, Party Rock Anthem

JWoww: Jersey Shore morphed with LMFAO. Our theme song was LMFAO, our songs going to the club were LMFAO. Party Rock just heightened everyone's mood [and] got us fist pumping.

Ronnie: It was like our fist pumping anthem. ... We partied with [LMFAO] in LA for the VMAs. This song reminds me, like Jenni said before, you know, we were climbing up the celebrity ladder so fast and without even realizing it we were at a VMA party and LMFAO was performing, like right outside. We all walk outside and they're like, 'get on stage!' Next thing you know, we're on stage with LMFAO on the top of [the club] in LA. ... That song definitely brings back those memories.

Chelley, Took the Night

JWoww: No matter what we were going through, or how bad the day or the fights were, the moment that song came on Nicole became Snooki and she was the entertainment for the night. Cartwheels, backflips — even if the club had three people in it, we made every second count and that was one of the best songs to play.

Ronnie: Chelley, Took the Night is definitely for Snooki because I feel like for the first season she was still trying to find herself. And then, I remember we were out at Karma one night, and this song came on and she went from Nicole that was like, 'oh my God,' to doing cartwheels. I think she was on someone's shoulders that night, and we were just like, 'who is this girl?' Forget took the night, she 'snook' the night. That's when we all fell in love with Nicole.

Rihanna, We Found Love ft. Calvin Harris

Ronnie: Whenever I hear that song it just reminds me of all of our nights in Karma. I remember, every time that song would come on, Nicole would just get up and go crazy. She could be drunk in the corner throwing up and you put that song on and she's like Popeye with spinach. ... It brings back really good memories.
