Stars' Torquil Campbell says Gord Downie was the 'gold standard of how to be an artist'

Stars singer Torquil Campbell will always remember Tragically Hip's Gord Downie as the "gold standard of how to be an artist and how to be a person." 

Today on the show, he shared his memories of Downie, who died last night at the age of 53. Campbell recalls the time the Hip literally broke down a fence at a festival and, as he recalls, "[Downie] welcomed you in."
