Most of us associate technology with progress. But does that progress always extend to social issues? Recently, many tech industry leaders joined together to speak out against Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act on the grounds that it would allow for discrimination against LGBT people.
Much was made of the impact this collective voice could have when directed at social issues, but there were also some suggestions that major tech players should first be getting their own houses in order when it comes to dealing with their own issues like working conditions and diversity in hiring.
