Guest host Catherine Cullen talks to University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist, York University professor of governance, law and ethics, Richard Leblanc, and Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne.
Then, as an inmate at Her Majesty's Penitentiary in Newfoundland, Courtney Pike's brother Gregory begged for better conditions. After he took his own life last year, Courtney took up his calls for change — but says there's been little progress. We talk to Pike and then Cindy Murphy, the executive director of the John Howard Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
