The Toronto Blue Jays made some changes to their scouting department on Wednesday, firing director of amateur scouting Brian Parker and national crosschecker Blake Davis.

Parker had been with the team since 2009, first as a scout and then as a crosschecker before being promoted to the amateur scouting director role in July 2012.

Parker previously worked as an assistant scouting director with the Washington Nationals and a scouting co-ordinator with the Montreal Expos.

Davis worked as a scout for Kansas City and Oakland before coming to Toronto.
