New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made a successful return from his four-game suspension by throwing for 406 yards with three touchdown passes to tight end Martellus Bennett in a 33-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

The 39-year-old quarterback was excited about his performance as evidenced by his Cam Newton impression during a first-down celebration on the sideline.

In stark contrast, the Browns quarterback situation became even worse through the course of the afternoon.

Cleveland has dropped seven straight and 14-of-15 dating back to last season, and Browns coach Hue Jackson is running out of quarterbacks after rookie Cody Kessler was knocked out in the first half with rib and chest injuries.

Quarterback-turned-wide receiver Terrelle Pryor took two snaps before veteran Charlie Whitehurst replaced him, becoming the fifth quarterback to play for Cleveland in five games.

Whitehurst limped off the field with 3:57 left.

OBJ scores 1st TD

It's been a frustrating year for Odell Beckham Jr., and not just for fantasy football owners.

The New York Giants No. 1 receiver finally found his way onto the scoresheet in Week 5, scoring his first touchdown of the season against the Green Bay Packers.

Perhaps more importantly for the Giants, Beckham didn't throw an attention-grabbing tantrum like the meltdown he had the previous two weeks against Minnesota and Washington. Beckham even made amends with the kicking net he flailed at previously.

The bad news? The Giants lost 23-16 and fell to 2-3.

Wentz, Eagles suffer 1st loss

In other early afternoon games, the Minnesota Vikings remained unbeaten after defeating the Houston Texans 31-13.

The Detroit Lions handed Carson Wentz his first loss with a 24-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Matt Prater kicked a 29-yard field goal with 1:28 left and Darius Slay made an over-the-shoulder interception to end rookie Wentz's perfect throwing streak.

Marcus Mariota threw three touchdown passes and ran for a fourth score in a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

The Washington Redskins edged Baltimore 13-10 after the Ravens' potential go-ahead touchdown pass to Breshad Perriman was overturned via replay.

Evidently, having 28-time Olympic medallist Michael Phelps cheering you doesn't always translate to success.
