More than 100 people, including former Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, got their Canadian citizenship at a ceremony held during World Cup of Hockey festivities in Toronto on Tuesday.
Alfredsson, a native of Sweden who spent most of his career with Ottawa, was among 102 people to become citizens at a ceremony attended by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHL Players' Association executive director Donald Fehr.
