Canadian women's artistic gymnasts battle for Rio

Watch members of the Canadian women's artistic gymnastics team compete against one another to book their spot at the Rio Olympics.

Canada qualified for the Summer Games at the world championships last fall, but the national selection camp event in Gatineau, Que., will determine which of the 11 athletes eligible will capture the five spots available on Canada's Rio 2016 team.

Gymnastics Canada will announce the official artistic gymnastics Olympic roster on Thursday.

Below are the 11 women currently on the team who will compete this weekend:

  • Ellie Black – Halifax
  • Shallon Olsen – Surrey, B.C.
  • Brittany Rogers – Calgary
  • Megan Roberts – Toronto
  • Madison Copiak – Calgary
  • Sabrina Gill – Oakville, Ont.
  • Rose-Kaying Woo – Brossard, Que.
  • Victoria-Kayen Woo – Brossard, Que.
  • Maegan Chant – Waterdown, Ont.
  • Kristen Petermen – Cambridge, Ont.
