Canada added to its medal collection, earning a bronze in diving
Another day, another medal for Canada at the Rio Olympics.
This time, it was the synchronized diving performance of Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion that gave Canada its fifth medal so far.
Here's how Canadians performed throughout Brazil on Tuesday.
Fourth bronze of the Games
Women's 10-metre synchronized platform — Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion, both of Laval, Que., won the bronze medal with 336.18 points.

Beach volleyball
Men — Ben Saxton, Calgary, and Chaim Schalk, Red Deer, Alta., downed Brazil's Evandro Goncalves Oliviera, Jr., and Pedro Solberg, 2-1 (17-21, 21-18, 16-14) to improve their preliminary-round record to 1-2.
Women — Jamie Broder, Victoria, and Kristina Valjas (1-1), Toronto, lost to Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst, Germany, 2-0 (21-17, 21-11); Heather Bansley, Waterdown, Ont., and Sarah Pavan (2-0), Kitchener, Ont., def. Nadine Zumkehr and Joana Heidrich of Switzerland, 2-0 (21-18, 21-18).
Equestrian (eventing)
Individual jumping — Rebecca Howard, Marlborough, U.K. (Riddle Master), placed 10th in qualifying with 61.80, and was 10th in the final with the same score; Jessica Phoenix, Cannington, Ont. (A Little Romance) was 38th in qualifying (131.60); Colleen Loach, Dunham, Que. (Qorry Blue d'Argouges), was 42nd (145.70) — neither advanced to the final round.
Team jumping — Canada placed 10th overall with a score of 339.10.
Fencing
Men's Epee — Maxime Brinck-Croteau, Gatineau, Que., lost 15-14 in the round-of-32 to Vadim Anokhin of Russia.
Field hockey
Men — Canada fell to 0-3 in the preliminary-round with a 7-0 loss to Netherlands.
Judo
Men's 81-kilogram class — Antoine Valois-Fortier, Quebec City, won his opening match 1-0s1 over Loic Pietri of France; defeated Emmanuel Luceniti of Argentina, 10-10s3; lost his quarter-final 10s1-0s1 to Russian Khasan Khalmurzaev; and was eliminated following a 100-0s1 repechage loss to Takanori Nagase of Japan.
Rowing
Women's single sculls — Carling Zeeman, Cambridge, Ont., placed 10th overall in the quarter-finals in a time of eight minutes, 41.12 seconds, to advance to Wednesday's semifinal.
Women's pairs — Nicole Hare, Calgary, and Jennifer Martins, Toronto, placed fourth overall in the repechage (8:01.09), did not advance.
Sailing
Finn class — Tom Ramshaw, Toronto, placed 10th and 12th in today's races, and after two runs is ranked 16th with 31 points.
Men's laser — Lee Parkhill, Oakville, Ont., was 33rd and ninth (33rd after four races with 122).
Women's laser radial — Brenda Bowskill, Toronto, finished 16th and 20th (19th after four races, 75).
Shooting
Women's 25m precision — Lynda Kiejko, Calgary, placed 40th in precision qualifying with a score of 269, and was 38th (552) in the rapid round — did not advance to the semifinals.
Soccer
Women — Melissa Tancredi of Ancaster, Ont., scored both goals as Canada (3-0) won 2-1 over Germany.
Swimming
Men's 100 freestyle — Santo Condorelli, Kenora, Ont., posted a time of 48.22 to place fifth in qualifying, and earned a berth in the medal race with the third-fastest time in the semifinals (47.93); Yuri Kisil, Calgary, was 11th (48.490) in qualifying, but did not advance after placing 10th in the semis (48.28).
Men's 200 breaststroke — Ashton Baumann, Ottawa, was 24th overall in qualifying (2:12.61), did not advance.
Women's 200 butterfly — Audrey Lacroix, Pont-Rouge, Que., was 16th in qualifying (2:09.21), and failed to advance to the final after placing 16th in the semifinal round (2:09.95).
Women's 200 individual medley — Sydney Pickrem, Halifax, finished sixth in the final (2:11.22).
Tennis
Women's doubles — Eugenie Bouchard, Westmount, Que., and Gabriela Dabrowski, Ottawa, were eliminated following a second-round loss to Lucie Safarova and Barbora Strycova, Czech Republic, 6-7 (4), 6-2, 6-4.
Men's doubles — Daniel Nestor, Toronto, and Vasek Pospisil, Vernon, B.C., won in their quarter-final over Fabio Fognini and Andreas Seppi, Italy, 6-3, 6-1.
Volleyball
Men — Canada lost their preliminary-round match to Brazil, 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17)
